Christmas Box

My five year old constructed a Christmas box from cardboard, fabric and glue.

She began with twelve pieces of cardboard. Two for each side of the box.

Each piece of cardboard was covered with a piece of scrap wool fabric. Next the plain blue fabric for the inside of the box and penguin Christmas fabric for the outside was cut slightly larger than the cardboard pieces.

Each piece of cardboard was wrapped in fabric. The piece of wool is hiding under the cardboard she is gluing in the picture.

After all 12 pieces were constructed. The inside and outside for each side was glued together. The the box was glued in place and held with rubber bands while the glue dried.

We are both proud of the good job she did on this project.
